Eleanor Connell School of Dance, Inc.
About Eleanor Connell School of Dance
Founded in April, 1949 by Eleanor and Jack Connell, the Eleanor Connell School of Dance has been the center of dance education for thousands of Hunterdon County, NJ children and their parents for 68 years. Now under the directorship of Mimi Connell (2nd generation), the school continues the philosophy with which Mrs. Connell began: "The best interest of the child in dance education".
The school has been at its location at 1258 Highway 31 since 1963, with two spacious air-conditioned studios, sprung wood floors and a large waiting area for parents and siblings.

Our current staff of professional teachers all received their early dance training with Mrs. Connell, which ensures the continuing quality of the school's training.
Classes are offered daily in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Modern, Stretch, Hip Hop, Theater Dance and Choreography, at age-appropriate levels. Our specialized 4 year-old program continues to be one of the most popular classes, providing an introduction to dance in a relaxed and nurturing environment. Advanced classes are scheduled based on the interests and talents of the students.
Most of our classes perform in the annual Spring recital, which provides our students with a wonderful performance opportunity. In addition many of our students participate in our annual Nutcracker production - a Hunterdon County tradition for over 30 years.
Recent additions to our program are week-long day camps and summer classes for intermediate and advanced dancers. Students age 4-11 can attend a half-day program at Summer Dance Camp; older students can attend summer classes in ballet and other forms, as available.
